Low Teach Ratio Benefits
At Crossroads Early Childhood Centre we have low teach ratios with 1 teacher to 3 under 2s and 1 teacher to 6 over 2s.
Having low ratios (fewer tamariki per kaiako) in an Early Childhood Centre offers many benefits for both children and staff.
Here are some positives:
For whānau (families):
- increased confidence in care
- better communication
For the tamariki (children):
- individualised attention
- enhanced learning opportunities
- stronger relationships
- improved social interactions
- better behavioural support
For the kaiako (teachers):
- reduced stress and workload
- deeper understanding of tamariki
- improved quality of care
- enhanced professional satisfaction
